The Winds Blow Change

A song about depression

I feel all right

Just close to dying

Stay here tonight

In case I go

And I don’t know why

But I keep on trying

I think I might

Finally let go

The winds blow change

But no change for me

I’m wandering lost

Beside an endless sea

The water is calling

But if I give in

I’ll let it take me

I won’t come back again

Flowers are blooming

Birds fly in the sky

Yet I sit here lonely

And wondering why

There’s just no answer

For the hurt inside me

So, I’ll sit here rocking

And stare at the sea

The winds blow change

But no change for me

I’m wandering lost

Beside an endless sea

The water is calling

But if I give in

I’ll let it take me

I won’t come back again

Don’t try to save me

It’s already been done

I know there’s a God

And my battle’s been won

But for today

I’ll let this hurt

Wash over my body

Like water on dirt

The winds blow change

But no change for me

I’m wandering lost

Beside an endless sea

The water is calling

But if I give in

I’ll let it take me

I won’t come back again

I’ll sit here rocking…and wish for the sea.
